A race known only as the Aliens began systematically kidnapping soldiers from various eras in Earth's past, placing them on an unnamed planet to fight each other. Led by the War Lord and his War Chief, a renegade Time Lord, they planned to put the survivors together in a massive army to take over the galaxy. The Doctor arrived in the midst of one war zone and soon realised the scale of the plan. He broke into the Alien headquarters and thwarted the War Games, although he needed the help of the Time Lords to send the soldiers back to Earth.
