Each CD is given a page of information, including cover, title, writer, release date, production credits, and back cover blurb.

In June 1999, Big Finish Productions earnt a licence from the BBC to produce audio plays on CD. These plays, dubbed Audio Adventures featured Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy along with many actors to have played companions reprising their roles that they had in the television series. In January 2001, Paul McGann joined the ranks, reprising his role as the Eighth Doctor.
