A self-defence method, primarily used by the third incarnation of the Doctor, similar to many Oriental Earth martial arts. It can involve hand chops, finger jabs or complete Judo-style shoulder throws. The Doctor has used it on a number of occasions, including when on Peladon, fighting Global Chemicals security guards and against Sea Devils. It did not appear to be a trait of each incarnation of the Doctor, although the seventh incarnation did have several similar techniques involving finger pressure to either calm people down, hypnotise them or mend damaged bones.
