A living, sentient, metal created by Rassilon, some of which the Doctor stole when he fled Gallifrey. He left it on seventeenth century Earth, where Lady Peinforte fashioned it into the Nemesis statue, a likeness of herself. It imparted a great deal of knowledge about the Time Lords, and the Doctor in particular, before it was launched into space. Lady Peinforte travelled forward to the late twentieth century to try and regain control of the returning Nemesis. She merged herself with the statue, before the Doctor used Nemesis as a missile with which to wipe out a Cyberman invasion fleet.
