A planet within the Milky Way, twelve par secs from Earth. Very similar to Earth, it had developed a feudal society, where the common people were the engineers, capable of creating astonishingly life-like androids. The Doctor and Romana located the fourth segment of the Key to Time there, encountering a hostile bear-like creature, as well as the politics of the struggle for supremacy at the Taran Court. The Doctor helped put an android double of the kidnapped Prince Reynart on the throne, while Romana was coerced into becoming the wicked Count Grendel's bride-to-be.
