solos
A planet within the Milky Way, possibly located not far from Gallifrey. Grey and rocky, with little vegetation, it was colonised by Earth Empire, and watched over by the Marshal, on Skybase One. The inhabitants of Solos began to mutate, a natural chrysalis-like process which was being unnaturally speeded up by the Marshal's attempts to make the Solonian air breathable by humans. The Time Lords sent the Doctor there to help ensure that Solos was eventually given its independence from the Empire. It did, but only after the Marshal had been responsible for the deaths of a great many Solonian Mutants.
