A plot devised by Sir Charles Grover MP and Professor Whitaker. They convinced a group of like-minded individuals that they were aboard a spaceship, heading for a new planet in an earlier stage of development. In reality, they were using Whitaker's Time Scoop to devolve Earth back to a prehistoric state (apart from a small section of London), wiping out mankind in the process so they could start again. Captain Yates of UNIT was amongst those involved. Whitaker was bringing Dinosaurs from the past into the present to help clear London of what he and his asssociates considered undesirable people, and so make the plan easier. The scam ended when the Doctor exposed the plan to those aboard the fake ship and sent Whitaker, Grover and the Time Scoop into the past.
