ogri
Inhabitants of the amino acid-covered planet Ogros in the Tau Ceti system. The Ogri were a silicon-based lifeform, although deficient in globulin, which they needed to ingest and so to survive. Three of them, having left Ogros with Cessair of Diplos, were prisoners on board a ship in hyperspace, presided over by two Megara. They escaped with Cessair to Earth, mimicking megoliths in stone circles, feeding off human blood. Despite their monolith-like appearance, the Ogri could move around with ease, although somewhat slowly. One Ogri fell to its death while on Earth, another was disintegrated by the Megara. The third was returned to Ogros.
