invasion of the zygons
A race of metamorphs who had lived in their organically grown spaceship under Loch Ness for many hundreds of years, waiting for the right time to destroy mankind, raise the sea levels and so colonise Earth. They replaced members of the local aristocracy and hospital to infiltrate the community, showing little remorse at the deaths they caused. Their Skarasen creature, which lived in the loch and was frequently mistaken for the monster, remained after the Zygons were defeated. The Doctor blew up the Zygon craft. In London, the Brigadier shot dead Broton, their warlord.
