invasion of the cybermen
The Cybermen first attacked Earth in 1986, as they attempted to take over a South Pole tracking station. Later, they attempted to destroy Earth by infiltrating a weather control base on the moon. With the help of a human technologist they utilised the London sewers from which to spearhead their next attack. Although defeated, they used the same sewers in a later attempt to crash Halley's Comet into Earth. In the far future they tried to crash a freighter full of anti-matter on Earth, but it went back through time and exploded, killing Adric. Another invasion saw the Cybermen attempt to possess the Nemesis statue by teaming with a group of neo-Nazis.
