A race of aliens who sought refuge on Earth after a nuclear accident left them without identity. They posed as a bogus package tours company based at Gatwick Airport, kidnapping young people once their aircraft was in space and sending Chameleon duplicates back to Earth. The Doctor discovered their plan and let himself be taken to their orbiting spaceship. He made efforts to convince them that what they were doing was wrong, offering to help find a solution to their problems. The Chameleons agreed, returning the captured humans to Earth, including Ben Jackson and Polly.
