interference by the master
The Master's interference in Earth's past has been both fairly minor (a troop of Roundheads or a V2 rocket brought forward in time via the Crystal of Kronos) and of major importance. He used the android metamorph Kamelion to impersonate King John, intending to have the King refuse to sign Magna Carta, thus disrupting future political stability in Europe. He was responsible for the unleashing of the Chronovore, Kronos, thus destroying Atlantis, and attempted to bring together many prominent nineteenth century scientists with the intention of killing them all, throwing Britain into another scientific dark age.
