Inhabitants of the planet Earth, one of the most warlike species in the Universe. They also proved indomitable. Having suffered natural disasters, fallen and risen Empires, countless wars and, ultimately, the destruction of their planet, they still located new worlds such as Frontios and Refusis II to thrive upon. Many races believed mankind to be a great threat to Universal peace, but humans were still amongst those who made up bodies such as the Galactic Federation. The Doctor also noted on many occasions that humans were his favourite species, accounting for why the Time Lords exiled him to Earth for a brief period after his first trial.
