block transfer computation
A method devised by the Logopolitans to create matter through pure mathematics. Using Block Transfer Computation, they were able to create the CVEs that bled heat into the pocket universe known as E-Space, saving the Universe from destruction. They also created a duplicate of the Pharos Project from Earth, a radio telescope that beamed their computations into the CVEs. The Doctor later travelled to the real Pharos Project to close the CVEs. The Master then used Block Transfer Computation to create firstly a duplicate Adric which reprogrammed the TARDIS, and later the city on the planet Castrovalva.
