Humanoid inhabitants of the planet Xeros, who were enslaved by the last vestiges of the fading Morok Empire. Their planet had been devastated, and turned into a vast museum to the Morok victories, the adult population exported as slave labour. However a group of male Xeron youths decided to set up a resistance movement. They joined forces with the TARDIS crew and, after a shaky start, eventually overthrew the Moroks. In gratitude, they presented the Doctor with one of the artifacts from the museum, a Time Space Visualiser.
