While at UNIT, the Doctor built himself another vehicle to supplement his Edwardian vintage car, Bessie. In contrast to the yellow roadster, this was a silver, futuristic vehicle, which resembled a small flying saucer. It was capable of being driven along roads and could take to the air, possessing all the capabilities of a hovercraft, racing car and light jet aircraft. It had the registration plate WVO2M. The Doctor first used it when fighting Dinosaurs in Operation Golden Age on the streets of a deserted London. It was next driven when Lupton stole it from UNIT HQ while he was escaping with the Blue Crystal from Metebelis III that belonged to the Great One. Eventually Lupton abandoned it, enabling the Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith to chase him in it. Eventually they abandoned it beside a lake and the chase continued aboard a launch. After this, the Doctor relied on Bessie alone. The new craft presumably remained at UNIT, being stored along with Bessie after Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart's retirement.
