A planet within the Milky Way, which has often been visited by the Doctor. He spent a lot of time with the Venusians, learning their martial arts and lullabies and enjoying their flowers and metallic oceans. There have been at least twenty-five Venusian dynasties, and amongst their very polite society are the Plinges and the Thraskins and possibly the Shanghorns, although this may be a trade rather than a caste. They have large feet and play hopscotch, and have more than three eyes. There are vast metallic seas on Venus and flowers have been known to grow there. Venus has been invaded by Daleks, although saved by warships from Hyperon. The Doctor was a qualified pilot for the Mars-Venus pleasure cruise. The planet was used by the Eternals during their race for the Enlightenment Crystal as a marker buoy. Mavic Chen used the planet as a base on which to hide his secret army.
