Mercenaries employed by Terminus Inc to maintain Terminus, and see that the deliveries of terminal lazar's disease sufferers were passed to the Garm. They wore armour deliberately designed to terrorise the already confused sufferers so that no one would question their authority. However, the armour did not protect them from the radiation leaking out of the ship's damaged engines. The Vanir were kept to their contracts by Terminus Inc regulating the narcotic, hydromel, which they needed to stay alive. However, once Nyssa had created a synthetic replacement for the hydromel, the Vanir agreed to work with her and try to find a cure for lazar's disease.
