toymaker
A bizarre other-dimensional figure, dressed like a Chinese Mandarin, who occupied a strange realm which included the Celestial Toyroom. This was a world built entirely around the theme of games and tricks. The Toymaker kidnapped the TARDIS crew and forced them to play games to ensure the time machine's safe return. If they lost, they would join the other inhabitants of the Celestial Toyroom as the Toymaker's playthings. While Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet played various parlour games, the Doctor faced the Toymaker himself over the Trilogic Game - although the Toymaker had the advantage as the Doctor was both invisible and mute for much of it. Ultimately, the Doctor tricked his foe and the Toymaker's realm dissipated. However, the Doctor knew that nothing would be gone forever because the Toymaker was immortal and would merely spend time constructing a new world of malevolent games.
