Parasitic, bull-like aliens who were engaged on their 'Great Journey of Life'. This involved them bleeding off energy from various inhabited planets, mixing this with hymetusite and creating artificial black holes. Through these, they could instantaneously reach other energy sources on distant parts of the Universe. One Nimon arrived on Skonnos and convinced the Skonnans that it would rebuild their dilapidated Empire for them in return for hymetusite and young people from the planet Aneth. The Skonnans had not realised that there were more than one Nimon. After they had all arrived, the Doctor blew up the Nimon power complex on Skonnos, with the Nimons inside.
