A substitute for Strange Matter which the Rani was creating on Lakertya. She needed it to react with the Strange Matter, helium 2 and chronons, swelling the giant brain she had created so that it would engulf Lakertya and be usable as a time manipulator. With this, which she was going to power with the mental energy rained from genii she had kidnapped throughout time and space, she could reshape the universe in any way she wanted to. The Doctor fed gibberish into the brain, destroying it, and setting off a chain reaction which obliterated the Rani's laboratories, along with the supply of loyhargil.
