The WebRings have now moved into the Doctor Who section, since they are related to that subject, and the Data, Gallery and Search sections have moved into the Jondar section.
• Basically, a graphical redesign of the site, in blue!
• Now, this is what I was planning last month before 'the great crash' >:-)

• Finally, I can say that I've done something I've promised when I first started the site at SimpleNet. I've finally added something new to the Doctor Who: Information section. The addition is of a collection of entries from the databank of the Doctor's TARDIS. Called, strangely enough, The TARDIS Databank.

• Updated the Doctor Who: Episodes database and MivaScript files. They're a little bit more streamlined now.

• Apart from that, most of the rest of the site was left untouched. I do have some more ideas to be added as a second stage of the update. They were going to be added all at once, but I suffered a freak computer crash three days before my deadline of June 30th, and I lost the updated files.
• Rewrote the content on most pages. mainly to improve readability and reduce download times.
• Closed the Audio section temporarily, to allow me to update the indexes to MivaScript.
• Modified the graphic design of the site: changed the font, added some graphics and darkened the colour scheme a little. (If you think that's bad, you should've seen what I was planning. :) )
• Merged the Cartoons, Jondar: Gallery and the sketches from the Jondar: Downloads pages into one new section -- Gallery
• Removed the Sydney and Start pages from the site. They were stagnating, not getting any updates.
• Moved the site from Varos.simplenet.com to www.varos.com

• Minor page remodeling. Streamlined the pages slightly (no green divider bars) and also created a new logo/header graphic. The design is interesting in the fact that it contains elements of all the previous Varos site logos I've done - the original 3D logo, the special fade effects of the "VarosSwirl" period, the landscape style of update before last, and the grey and green of the last style.

• It's been a while, but there's also a new cartoon to the Cartoons page. Please excuse the excessive delay, but I'm trying to stretch out the remaining scanned cartoons I have since my hand scanner died recently.
• Converted the Doctors and Companions pages in the Doctor Who Information section to MivaScript, in preparation for cross referencing the episodes, books and information pages. Don't worry, I haven't neglected the Doctor Who Information section, I have a few ideas for that up my sleeve for addition in the coming weeks, most probably early May.

• More work to the Doctor Who Links section. I've set myself a (seemingly impossible) task of providing brief descriptions for all 500-odd sites listed by the end of April. Because of this, you may find that the description for your site may be a tad "generic." If you feel that way you can use the also newly added Add A Link form with an updated description and I'll amend your entry.

• As part of a rotating update/cleanup schedule, it's now the turn of the two webring pages. Both rings have had updated ring graphics made, and a general tidy up of the information pages has been made.

• In adding the On This Who Day... section, I've changed the layout of the Doctor Who index, and also added a dynamic "On This Who Day..." feature to the index, showing the episodes that premiered on the day you view the page.
• On This Who Day...: A calendar of Doctor Who history, lists the UK premiere of each Doctor Who episode.
• Continuity: An index to all the Doctor's adventures (both on TV and in books) listed in order of the Doctor's frame of reference.

• As a complementary download to the Doctor Who theme added yesterday, a second set of Doctor Who Windows Startup/Shutdown logos have been added. They're based on the same image as used in the wallpaper of the newly added Doctor Who theme.

• Yesterday's update of the Doctor Who Episodes section highlighted a problem of mine with maintaining the site. Each story page was generated separately, by mail-merging a database into the HTML template, this is very time consuming (around 3 hours to generate 160 story pages!).
  In order to solve my problem, I decided to write a server script file (thanks to SimpleNet and Miva for this) which would generate the story pages automatically.
  Over the next few days, I hope to transfer the Books pages and possibly the Links pages to this new system as well.

• In association with GEOS - The Global Episode Opinion Survey, the Doctor Who: Episodes section provides you with the opportunity to vote/rate each Doctor Who story.
  Because of this new arrangement, each of the Episodes section pages has been re-generated with links to the GEOS website.

• I'm also currently in the process of making some stuff for the Jondar: Downloads page... I have no idea at the present time when they'll be ready.
• New cartoon to the Cartoons page --- <rant> A note to the unnamed person who complained about the lack of updates to the cartoons. -- I do have other things to do besides work on this website (work and school being the two main things at the moment). It is up to me when I want to update the site, and update the cartoons. I try to change the image every month or so, and I tell people on this page when it is updated. If you don't like the cartoon, or don't like the fact that they're not changed as often as you like. I don't really want to hear about it. Thanks. </rant> --- erm... sorry about that :-)
• Several new midi files added to the Audio section, and the pages have been re-organised. I'm still working on adding wav files, they should be up within the month, I'd say.
• The Doctor Who: Episodes section has had some information updates, several additional pieces of information (ratings, designer, video availability and novelisation information) have been added.
• Minor rewrites to the Jondar: About Me page.
• The majority of pages haven't had much content updated, but there are exceptions, and many pages will have updated/new content in the coming few updates.
• All pages have had a proper design overhaul. I've put up minimal graphics on the site - the only one is in the top left corner.
  As a result of elimating graphics, the "navigation" image map has gone, replaced with "context sensitive" text links. Unfortunately, doing this has had the (rather unwanted) side-effect of text browser users forced to wade through all the links first. :-(
